Kyle began his career in the natural gas industry with Nagasco, Inc., a joint venture between Mewbourne Oil Company and Apache Corporation. He was responsible for gas plant and pipeline design and operations in Oklahoma and Texas. Kyle supervised several projects involving natural gas gathering and transmission, natural gas liquids (NGL) recovery, gas measurement, and gas treating.
In 1987, Kyle transferred to NAGASCO’s office in Tyler, Texas where he completed assignments in natural gas supply and marketing. Later, he provided technical and financial support in the evaluation of numerous acquisitions of natural gas gathering, marketing, and processing assets. The facilities and companies evaluated included assets such as a large intrastate gas gathering and transmission company and a national gas marketing firm. Kyle also assisted in the strategic analysis of the restructuring, expansion, and financing of NAGASCO, including presentations before banks and institutional investors.
In 1989, Kyle developed Midway Gathering Corporation, where he managed the construction of a casinghead gas gathering system and negotiated natural gas supply and processing agreements in western Oklahoma. His leadership responsibilities at Midway included technical presentations before commercial banks and the negotiation of a term loan facility for the company.
A consultant since 1991, Kyle has continued to utilize his dual background in engineering and finance to assess both technical and commercial challenges in the midstream industry. In January 2016, Kyle co-founded Pearson Adair & Co., where he continues to provide consulting and expert services to the energy industry. Kyle is a registered professional engineer in Texas, and has testified in State and Federal District courts, as well as arbitration and settlement hearings.
